Foreign technical intern trainees are foreigners who come to Japan to learn technical skills and expertise at Japanese companies. The system for accepting such trainees is called the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP). It is an international cooperation program aimed at developing human resources who can contribute to the economic development of their home countries.

Following the establishment of the Technical Intern Training Program in 1993, this program was newly introduced in 2019.
