Regarding the Reiwa 6 Amendment to the Immigration Control Act, etc.

On June 14, 2024, the 213th ordinary session of the Diet passed the Act to Partially Amend the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act, etc. (Act No. 59 of 2024) and the Act to Partially Amend the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Act on Proper Implementation of Technical Intern Training for Foreign Nationals and Protection of Technical Intern Trainees (Act No. 60 of 2024), and were promulgated on the 21st of the same month.

The "developmental employment system" is scheduled to begin within three years.
